Buy the file, not the picture.
On Redactd, every coin launches sealed. Traders see a codename and a ticker. What the coin really is stays under black bars until its curve is 25% full, then the file opens for everyone at the same moment.
1. File a coin
The form has two halves. On the record: a codename, a ticker and an optional one-line brief. These are public at once, and the codename and ticker are written on-chain for good, so don't put the real name in them. Sealed: the image, the real name, the story and the links. You sign one transaction that creates the token and its curve, with an optional first buy inside it. The mint key is made in your browser and never touches our server.
2. Trade it blind
Until the file opens, everyone has the same information: the brief, the chart, the trades and the creator wallet. Nobody on the site can see inside, buyers included. The sealed half is stored on our side only, not on-chain and not on IPFS, so an explorer or a wallet shows the codename and a sealed placeholder too.
3. It opens at 25%
Once the bonding curve is 25% full, the file opens: image, real name, story and links go public on the coin page, the opened log, the API and the token's metadata, all at once. Opening is one-way and the creator can't edit what they sealed. A file stays open even if the price falls back afterwards.
FAQ
Can the creator see inside? They filed it, so yes, they know what it is. Nothing stops a creator from hinting; the brief exists for exactly that.
Can anyone open a file early? The Redactd team can, from the admin panel, for example if a creator asks or a file breaks the rules. It shows as “opened early by the team” in the log.
Why does my wallet still show the placeholder? Wallets and explorers cache token pictures. The metadata changes the moment the file opens; how fast each app refreshes is up to them.
Where do the fees go? The platform share of every trading fee goes to the Redactd fee wallet.
Can I read the data? Yes, there's a free read-only API. Sealed files come back with no image, story or links.
